The Ministry of Planning and Investment is seeking public feedback on the Draft Decree on Enterprise Registration, which will replace Decree No. 01/2021/NĐ-CP. Accordingly, the Draft Decree includes several notable highlights as follows:
1. The draft removes provisions on household business registration from Decree No. 01/2021/NĐ-CP and elevates the current system of enterprise registration forms from Circular No. 01/2021/TT-BKHĐT into decree level to align with legal regulations on administrative authority and improve the overall legal framework for enterprise registration.

The draft adds provisions on the use of personal identification numbers during enterprise registration procedures. When the applicant provides a personal ID number, the system can automatically extract information from the National Population Database saving time and minimizing the risk of fraudulent registration documents.

The Decree adds new provisions on the legal status of branches, representative offices, and business locations including six statuses: suspended, inactive, revoked, under termination, terminated, and active.
